	<description>Standard Identity Disc for a soldier who was a member of Assault Gun Company 197 (Sturmartillerie-Abteilung 197). Made of a non-magnetic white metal (probably a zinc alloy). Disc is approximately 70mm (2.76 in) by 51mm (2.01 in) and 1mm (0.04 in) thick. This was not ground dug. It has some minor surface corrosion, but is in good condition. Would go well with a grey artillery wrap. 	<description>Standard Political Cap Set. Appear to be made of aluminium. Not marked. Both pins as present and undamaged for the eagle, but the wreath pins are both broken off. The front of both badges is undamaged, apart from some minor surface wear to the cockade. Overall, the badges are in good condition. Eagles wingspan is 61mm (2.40 in) - this is larger than standard military eagles. Wreath is 89mm (3.50 in) wide. 	<description>1939 Iron Cross Second Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939) and 1942 Eastern Winter Battle 1941/42 Medal (Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42), mounted Prussian Style. Iron Cross has magnetic core, and is very clean and relatively untarnished. Most of the silver frosting around the rim, and on the helmet is still present on the medal. Unable to see if medals are marked. Both medals have very crisp detail. See photos. Ribbon above Iron Cross shows a small blemish, but is otherwise good, and both ribbons are lightly stained from use. Backing felt has come loose on back in one corner. Ready to wear, or add to a uniform, for display purposes. Iron Cross Second Class - Instituted on 01 September 1939. 	<description>1934 German Hitler Youth Proficiency Award in Bronze (Leistungsabzeichen der Hitler Jugend in Bronze), In great condition, with no sign of corrosion. Marked with RZM symbol, plus M1/63 with is Steinhauer &amp; Lck of Ldenscheid. Also carries the serial number 213925. Round area has a copper finish, whilst the arrow is bronze, cast construction. Crisp detail. See photos. Inscription on front reads Fr Leistungen in der H.J. (For Proficiency in the Hitler Youth) Hitler Youth Proficiency Award was instituted in June 1934. Qualification for bronze was - Boys 16 years old, who met specific standards for 100 metre sprint, 3000 metre run, long jump, shot put, hammer throw, horizontal bar exercises and swimming. Also had to demonstrate ability to perform route marches, map reading, estimating distances, fire orders, camouflage, and firing from a prone position.
